WHO AM I?

Poppy Kitty Spring Clark

My name is Poppy, I was born in Suffolk- England but have since relocated to Bermuda- a tiny island in the North Atlantic Ocean. I now live inbetween Bermuda and Oxfordshire where I study media, journalism and book publishing at Oxford Brookes University.

Once I graduate in 2022 I ideally want to be working in the publishing industry in the children and young adult sector, but being able to work and travel around the world would be my dream.

MY HOBBIES

Things I love

Ive been passionate about my hobbies my entire life. When I was younger it was all about books! books! books!! and although life is a lot busier now, when I get the time- I love nothing more than to read. Im currently reading -the song of achillies by Madeline Miller.

A more recent hobby I have found is collecting and trying out 35mm film cameras. I love the concept of not knowing what you're getting, forgetting about all the littlest (which are usually the most beautiful) moments youve experienced with your friends and family and being able to revisit them in a way that an iPhone camera can't give to you. Im currently trying out the Kodak M35, but my absolute favourite is the Praktica BC1.

Another passion of mine is surfing. Growing up in Suffolk I was rarely by the ocean, so when my parents moved to Bermuda in 2015 I decided to learn how to surf. Although I'm no pro it is one of my favourite things to do when Im back in Bermuda in the holidays.

My Blog- What is it all about?

My blog is a space to explore all kinds of typographic design. However, the main theme of this blog will be focussed on analysing and writing about the typography and design of products and brands that are having a positive impact on our environment (coming hand in hand with the safety of our reefs) and who also share the same morals as I do.

We are living in uncertain times; our reefs are dying and collectively we need to do everything we can to keep them protected for as long as possible. This blog is going to be used to talk and analyse all ocean related brands that support our planet or brands that share that ethos-
